Reading this record
What the evidence says — and does not say
- What kind of figure?
- CommitmentMoney, or a money-like promise, committed to a named recipient or project. The only role ever summed.
- What has happened legally?
- AnnouncedPublicly announced; no decision or agreement is stated.
- Has money been paid?
- Follow the payment evidenceThis status does not itself establish a cash payment. In particular, a signed contract does not necessarily establish an obligation of funds.
- What does it link to?
- Project attributionOne registered project is linked directly to this row. The link alone does not prove the amount was paid or that the project advanced.
This is a commitment role, but the financial status still determines legal standing and payment. Funding and verified industrial outcomes remain separate. A financial record alone never independently verifies construction, commissioning or production. Read SMPT's counting and evidence rules.

Green Graphite Technologies' official post, dated 11 August 2026 by LinkedIn's page metadata, says its Mississauga graphite purification demonstration facility is entering the final stages of commissioning. The Mississauga facility and graphite-purification process correspond to the Regolith project record; the post does not name the NRCan EIP award, disclose grant payment or establish commercial operation, so this is not coded as operational.
Notes
NRCan's 3 March 2026 announcement records the C$4,750,000 EIP award as announced. Its current project profile lists the project as Active and gives a C$12,262,850 project total, but does not disclose a signed agreement date, disbursement or payment. On 11 August 2026, Green Graphite Technologies said its Mississauga graphite-purification demonstration facility was entering the final stages of commissioning. The location and process match the Regolith project record; the company post does not name the EIP award, so physical status is limited to commissioning and is not treated as grant payment, commercial operation or completion.
